ContextWeb is seeking a Director of Operations (Performance-Based Media) to join the Advertising Operations group. The Director of Operations will be the business owner for all performance based campaigns (CPA, CPC, CPL, Rev-Share models) in the exchange. The Director of Operations will use data driven approaches to achieve both the Advertiser’s and Adsdaq’s goals effectively and cost efficiently. The Director of Operations will be solely responsible for growing performance based deals in the exchange by working with Sales on new and innovative ways to grow our accounts. The position can be characterized as fast paced, analytical, and communicative role, which bears significant responsibility and accountability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and analyze deal parameters of potential performance based opportunities supplied from the Sales team.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the performance-based campaigns as well as the inventory they run on.
• Oversee campaign performance and use all available tools to optimize campaigns in order to meet the goals of both the client and Adsdaq.
• Maintain proactive communication regarding campaign status across all performance-based account stakeholders, including Account Managers, Account Executives and Senior Management.
• Create reporting for all performance-based campaigns across multiple data points.
• Work with the Publisher Development team to ensure that they are securing enough of the right type of media, required for the effective delivery of the performance-based campaigns.
• Liaison with the Sales team to oversee proper implementation of campaigns (ad tags, pixels/beacons, reporting discrepancies, click tracking, etc)
• Work with Sales to give client feedback on creative, landing page and conversion process optimizations.
• Become the business owner and requirements driver for development of new features, enhancements, tools and upgrades regarding the performance-based media.
• Document and maintain best practices as they relate to CPA and CPC campaigns as well as the type of inventory these campaigns run on.
Position Requirements:
• BS or BA degree in computer science or other analytical field.
• 5+ years in Ad Operations or Business Operations, preferably at an Ad Network or Exchange.
• Thorough understanding of the Online Advertising Industry especially in the performance media space (CPA, CPC, CPL, RevShare models).
• Hands on experience with successfully managing performance-based campaigns.
• Knowledge of Retargeting, Behavioral and Conversion pixel implementation.
• Strong understanding of ad optimization and performance metrics.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and data manipulation skills.
• Proactive thinking with a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Experience and understanding of Ad Servers such as Doubleclick, Atlas, etc.
• Experience working with Salesforce.
• Strong Excel skills.
